My wife saw my cupholder (thing nr 1791), and said "It's not something that'll ever win a design award...." So I went to the basement and came back with this salt bowl an hour later. She still wins, though :(This salt bowl is inspired by an Ursula bowl from Royal Copenhagen. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1851 Original creator: Kulitorum

Cuts nicely with 2mm endmill. I did the engraving of numbers etc. with 55degree V carving bit. This is quite large (about 16cm x 17cm) so you might want to scale it down a bit. Please note that this doesn't comply with parking disc standards in Europe so you could get a ticket if you use it. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3955 Original creator: Metalfusion

Another geometric tiling for the Eggbot. This one somewhat reminiscent of Op Art. This drawing is in a 3200 by 800 pixel template.Generating this and similar images is fairly simple. For example, this image was generated by drawing an isosceles triangle. Then it was "twisted" using the contributed "twist" extension under Extensions > Eggbot Contributed. The result of twisting was then cloned & tiled using Inkscape's Edit > Clone > Create Tiled Clones... tool. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6968 Original creator: dnewman

Here is a handy tool for use when you need to transfer or compare an angle. Most of the time this type of tool is used for measuring, transfering and comparing 90 degrees. This version will go from 53 degrees (acute) to 306 degrees (obtuse).A full size commerical layout tool I have is about 130mm per leg, this one is 100mm. Close enough with the added benefit of fitting into some locations where a shorter tool works better. For woodworking, you could print up 4 of these, glue them fixed at 90 degrees and use them for angle squares on boxes, frames, etc. For such an application, you bar clamp (or web/band clamp) these assembly squares around your project for dry-fiting or final glue-up. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5135 Original creator: ElectronicKit

I was showing off some of my designs at a recent Makerbot user group meeting, and I wished I had tags for them with QR codes and some other relevant data. This bookmarklet will generate such tags. This is a smaller version, with the QR code on one side and the human-readable information on the other.Note: I initially set the license to CC-BY for the example picture because the CC licenses look a little nicer on the tags, but I've changed the license to PD, so feel free to use it however you want.Update: Some errors were reported with the DOM walking, so I rewrote those portions to use Regex instead. This should improve compatibility. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8195 Original creator: whosawhatsis

After enjoying some crackers I wanted to be able to close the bag to keep them fresh. Alas, I was out of twist-ties to close the bag...Makerbot to the rescue!I quickly designed this bag clip, based off of a bread loaf clip picture. You can use this to close bags full of parts or any plastic bag for that matter, enjoy. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8610 Original creator: Chooch
