This is a game piece based around a cathedral that I did for an engineering design course. It is 1"x1"x2" (25.4 mm x 25.4mm x 50.8 mm). --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3055 Original creator: Jeremydeath

When I saw http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9383 by PacManFan I remembered that I also was playing a little bit with lead screws, auges, whatever but "I forgot" to upload it...It has been hard to find back most of the parts I was printing and using to do those tests and it has been really hard to find the OpenSCAD file that I upload here. I have hundreds of them. I've choose this OpenSCAD because is the most complete one and the one that is less hardcoded (but still quite a shame). I've put some effort to clean it here and there but still there's no warranty at all that it will work fine.No warranty neither that the stl provided will fit properly, I think that they should but... who knows????This time I don't have extra pictures to show (my pleasure), instead I have this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-4naMl-TOQI just hooked up the motors to bot1334 and ask it to build one stl via RepG.The lead screw provided has a travel per turn of 36mm and I was not modifying the machines.xml to adjust to real sizes. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9428 Original creator: aubenc

Since I am giving a presentation at a conference with the subtitle "Here be dragons" I knew I had to print dragons.I've managed to cut the head off the open dragon from here:http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/meshes/meshes.htmlBut it's not a clean cut and I'm not terribly good at editing models so if someone wants to improve the cut, I'll reupload the model.Update! Nate True fixed up the model. I've added a second file called "dragonheadfixed" that you'll want to use from now on. Thanks Nate! --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1462 Original creator: bre

There are some tools that are nice to have close to you when you're a MakerBot operator. I made this little tool rack that is easily mounted on the side of the MakerBot. It holds three sizes of allen keys; One for the M3, the M5 and the M8 bolts. It also has room for a little adjustable wrench and a standard flathead screwdriver for loosening or tightening the wires on your extruder board. It also has a hook that I use to hold the hot pad for handling my Heated Build PlatformI've also provided the SketchUp source files, so feel free to modify and improve it!NOTE: there are two versions. One just have normal holes and hexagonal holes for the allen keys, while the other has drop-shaped holes to obey the 45-degree rule. I've actually found that with the right settings I was able to print the non-dropshaped fairly well, so that's the one I used. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3598 Original creator: chrille

This type of joint is used in a gate of OOSAKA castle in Japan. It seems to a puzzle. If you do not have 3D printers, please challenge to make a papercraft of this object which is uploaded by PDF file. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7387 Original creator: h-kimura

Accurate model of Mount Vesuvius volcano in Italy, just a lot smaller. Also minus the first 300m of elevation so it looks taller. Some of the overhangs get a little messy, but thats OK - its a volcano.Runs on baking soda and vinegar. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4124 Original creator: Zydac

The Klein Bottle is a bit like a mobius strip but without the edge. There are many flavors that a bottle can take so this model is only one of many representations that can be imagined.A really fun feature about this shape is that you can fill it with liquid on the same face that the model can then rest on. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5217 Original creator: kelsorj

Here is an 8mm Rod Block Pillow Mount for use in fastening guide rods for use in CNC applications. It is specifically tailored for use with 80/20 aluminum extruded framing, but can be mounted onto anything. The part mounting holes can accept 6mm bolt hardware, and there is a single 3mm x 22mm screw (with nut pocket) that is used to tighten the user's 8mm rod in place. The mount's overall size is about 53mm L x 20mm W x 34mm H and the 8mm rod (center) is spaced 21mm above the mount's base. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8583 Original creator: ElectronicKit

In order to bake an apple pie...I really am doing geodesic domes, but there's a long road I have to walk in order to get there. This thing is the next incarnation of the geodesic library.Being able to calculate strut lengths is one thing, and definitely a required step along the way to constructing geodesic domes. In fact, if you're just constructing them in the real world, the previous version of this library is enough, because you can calculate strut lengths and be on your merry way. But, if you what you're after is the ability to actually model the things and print them out, then you need a little bit more capabilities.I found that I not only needed the list of vertices for a particular platonic solid, but I also needed edge lists. That is, a list of vertices that form edges. So, that's what's in this library. Otherwise, no dramatic changes.I did add a polygon wireframe rendering module which takes the edge lists and renders a nice wireframe of the polyhedron in question. You can specify the radius of the 'wires'. I was toying with being able to render as flat faces as well, but that requires a lot more work than the simple approach I started out with (I am using my table saw to help me figure it out).Since it's .scad files, you can alter them to suit your needs.Based on several suggestions, I will likely stop using Thingiverse as my 'source repository', and put sources up on GitHub so they're more easily maintained. Then I can just drop model turds here when there's something interesting generated from the core libraries. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11071 Original creator: WilliamAAdams
