I have the DLO HybridShell for iPhone 3G, 3G S case for my iPhone. All the car mounts I found for the iPhone were custom fit for a iPhone without a case, so I had to build a custom holder, and this is what I came up with.I have used this for a month or so driving tractor and my iPhone never once jumped out of it. It is open on the bottom so the charger can be plugged in. I just mounted it with double sided tape, and it worked fine. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3163 Original creator: cwollman

The key clips in and you can magnetically stick it to a discrete place on your car. I'm using it to hide my key during runs.Disclaimer: as pointed out in the comments, if a thief finds your key, you will not be able to claim any insurance money, so be careful! --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1908 Original creator: InnovationByLayers

Okay so it isn't really a cube, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. This nifty little thing was created by Kris Pister at UCLA and basically tells you everything you ever wanted to know about silicon (from a microfabrication standpoint) i.e. different crystal planes, etch rates in various solutions, crystal structure, etc. The original is made out of paper and meant to be glued or taped together, but after an unfortunate incident involving a falling textbook I have discovered that it is not very robust this way. On the off chance that you don't actually care about silicon but want to print it anyway, it makes a nice Christmas tree ornament!I've included a hollow box version with a lid, a braced box version, and a full-blown solid version, depending on how much plastic you want to use.Update: I uploaded a letter-sized version of SiCube.pdf (the cube itself is still the same size). I also uploaded new pictures since I totally made the first one wrong =(. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4375 Original creator: donutman_2000

This is a modification of the Lovable Google Android.I uses openscad to modify the model, make it empty and create space for the elektronics in it.The stl files with the 2 at the end, are the new models. The other stls are inputs for the openscad scripts. If you turn the Head of this Android, it will change the color of its Body. As i didnt have a potentiometer, i used a photocell for it. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1941 Original creator: Domonoky

JelleAtProtospace pointed out that trapezoid screw thread are useful as well, e.g. to make a drivenut for the leadscrew threaded rods used in many CNC machines.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapezoidal_thread_formsThat sounded like a valuable and fairly simple modification, but I wasn't looking forward to modifying the polyhedron command at the heart of the module (adding each new vertex means adding several triangles and making sure they have the right winding order), but like anything else, you get used to it with practice and it really wasn't that bad.It allows you to generate trapezoid screw threads that follow any set of equations you care to provide them, some of which will have more practical application that others. Some of these even look like they might make serviceable springs.Again, because it generates the triangles directly via the polyhedron command, it's fast and lightweight. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8761 Original creator: syvwlch
