I never dared to upload this thing before :-) but now... ehem... let's keep it like "I have my reasons".Instead of using this thing, please do consider to use "real" bushings or any of the awesome other solutions already available in thingiverse (I do love this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4213 by twotimes)For the curious ones, the stock bushings lasted the time to print less than 2lbs of plastic, may be I was not oiling them enough... These emergency ones have printed something close to 10lbs but I'm afraid that they start to ask to be replaced.More pics? http://aubenc.imgur.com/bushings(the picture where you can -almost not- see them assembled can be found here http://aubenc.imgur.com/cupcake_cnc_zextender) --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8259 Original creator: aubenc

Human head of a bald male without any expression (looking at infinite), to be printed in halves and glued together. Made to be put horizontally, with chin up (tilted back, not so stable position, but can be fixed up by enlarging neck base size or rafting some large base). The parts (left and right) of the face are simmetrical producing an well looking piece. There are some fine details (ears, eyes, nose and lips) that demand a very precise profile for printing (see attached files, for an example). --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8674 Original creator: rtrigo

Inspired by Iwo's Ducted cooling fan: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5756The idea was to use a PC cooling fan and some printed ducting to make a printable hovercraft. Initially I choose a classic hovercraft design, fan at the back mainly for thrust with some air split from the flow and directed through some ducting to the skirt. Unfortunatly I couldnt get anywhere near enough air down the ducts supplying the skirt. Then after a discussion with a friend I came up with the current design. This has a single fan supplying only the skirt (I'll think about thrust when ive made this work), the geometry is such that the air passes almost straight into the skirt from the fan. This new design is able to achieve much higher air flow into the skirt area, though it still cannot provide enough pressure for the skirt to inflate and induce a hover-gap between it and the ground.I feel like I'm reaching the limit of what I can reasonably expect a cooling fan to do and will probably redesign this for use with a proper outrunner motor at some point. So I have posted this prototype design here so that others may try to make it work. This design is fully parametric and I have supplied the Inventor file.Note: This was designed with an Educational copy of Inventor which imposes its own limitations upon how the design may be used. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7514 Original creator: brucedjones

Added a platform base to the model so as to better match kintel's Stormtrooperhead http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:588.Similar process to what arhimed http://www.thingiverse.com/arhimed and Ulf http://www.thingiverse.com/Ulf have done to clean up Bre's version, except in Netfabb Studio basic alpha using a fair bit of hand cleaning. Still not a perfect model by Netfabb's analysis, but skeinforge gives no complaints whatsoever. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7215 Original creator: HoagieBoy

I converted Birdman's Trilobite from Sketchup Warehouse to .stl. It's actually a difficult print. Skeinforge does some funky stuff with it. You need to print it with a raft because it builds a foundation. Even if you put it on the platform with Replicator G, it will still drive your print head into the platform if you don't use a raft. Very strange. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10393 Original creator: Thaed

A super simple thing that I was surprised wasn't already here.Spool clamps are used by luthiers to build violins and other stringed instruments. Typically they're made from a hardwood dowel with a threaded rod trilled through the center, with cork or leather lining the jaws. They're great for clamping the edge of things without having to worry about the orientation of the clamp. They cost about $4 each at a luthier supplier, which doesn't seem too much but you really need a couple dozen of them for any real project, and that starts to add up quickly. Everyone says that it isn't any cheaper to make your own, but I figure plywood disks and carriage bolts are cheaper than that. And I have a project I can use them on.Two 1" disks. One has a 0.26" hole in it for a 1/4" bolt. The other has a 0.26" square to fit the square end of a carriage bolt. I'm providing the OpenSCAD script and DXF files for each disk. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10448 Original creator: theron

Now that I've got these horribly thick business cards, I need someplace to store them where they won't get stained, crushed, or multilated. This simple case made of thin board does a reasonable job. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:232 Original creator: phooky

I keep misplacing the razor blade I use to get my rafts off the build platform. This thing holds a razor blade and clips to the side of the makerbot, similar to datafusions' SD card holder.STL and SolidWorks 2010 model files included. --- Imported from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4179 Original creator: donutman_2000
